i think management is both science and an art. bcoz it tells the things to be done in the light of reality.but to do the things in right manner we need knowledge about that .this knowledge constitute the science.since management provides both skills and the knowledge ,it is both an art and science.

i think management is both art and science.it is the art of making people more effective than they would have been without you.The science is how you do that and the fpou basic pillers of management are :
1)to plan
2)to organize
3)direct and moniter

As the word management means to manage the available resources tactfully so it requires tacts and skills which can only be learned thru practicin so its an art as art requires continous practice and it is a science bcoz science is basically the rules and principles followed so management also consider some rules as v have to manage the resources wisely so in my opinion it is both art as well as science..
