ya its true that mba in india is highly overrated this may be due to the high salary packeges given to the individuals after completing Mba.these day everyone want to do Mba and the main reason for this is that the scope of growth in this field is much more when compared to anyother field also its open for any graduate from any field for eg the scope for a simple arts graduate is no where bt when the same graduate completes his mba from any top b school of india his importance is much more increased.Not only graduates bt also sofware engineers are moving towards Mba because of promising growth as well as high salary packeges.friends plz share your views regarding ths topics

u really said well, coz M.B.A has become a TAG for everyone bt i regret this that they get high salary package, it is overrated and in todays era this has become a major problem for every m.b.a's, u c there are thousands of people who pursued m.b.a and still without job....

i think very well put up by neha where MBA nowadays is being reported or treated very highly. In India specially where people are ready to do work more as compared to what being compared to other countries, wants to make growth in every respect, be it in Business, in Education etc. Without having managerial skils no one can be a successful decision maker.. and there are theories related with the manageial process which make it more emphasise on what can be more done for the attainment of the goals.. people by and large are the management people where they take decisions in any form be it in the form of Business, School Education, Money, sports, politics.. so to even enhance growth in these individual sectors. all of us are entrepreneur in one or the other way. be it in terms of decision making, leadership etc.. so management if not being rated high should be rated at a highest level

MBA is definitely over rated in India. If we look at some top companies like reliance n infosys their people didnt have MBA but they are leaders and inspiration for all of us. Because of high salaries given to mba grads other fields are lagging behind. We definitely need to widen our prospective and think beyond MBA.
