hai friends, i think advertisement is not the wasteful expenditure because if u advertise ur product then ur product will be sold heavily in the market. if ur the new comer into the business and u dont know how to sell ur product then if u advertise ur product then it will reach to the coustmers very easily and ur product will be sold in a great extent.suppose the company like satyam introduced 108 ambulance but it is not known to the people at the later age of that but it reached to the all over andhra by the advertisement only. so, there is no wasteful of money in advertising

Wat I feel is advertisement is never a wasteful expenditure becoz wen u r spending a huge amount of expenditure in producing a product its of no use until ur product is marketable. Add gives marketability to product.
