why forign trade is necessary: 1) Eacch and every commidity can not be available in every nation, lets take a simple example of this as mango is very use full drug is available in eastern part of world like indian penecula and a bit in europian country so like arabian country who wont have this have to trade for out side. 2) limitations of reserves 3) raw material for life saving medicines / drugs, as recently one of over saint found sanjiveni that is very highly life saving drug and that is in india only so by trading of that our economical condition will inprove also. 4) Histry reveals that columbs, Vaskodiama went to various nations to discover the various comidity na dfor trading tham. 5) abundance of commidity should b fullyutilized. 6) freedom of migration

Foreign Trade has gained meaning from Globalisation & Liberalisation.
Exchange of goods and services has provided a viable meduim for countries to trade in which they have comparative advantage.
This dependency makes good relations between countries and it is a way to achieve communal harmony..

foreign trade can be a means by which countries come together to share their resources in which they are very confident because of mainly due to their natural resources.. Like for India its Wheat, Rice etc.. which makes india to export its resources and make import those resources which are not available in India.
Though it was previously being emphasised in 30s and 40s to Discourage Imports and Encourage exports .. but now after liberalisation there has been Import and export.
It will not only make availability of resources but will also help to Maintain Balance of Trade and helps to check the resources which are in Deficit and which Are in Surplus

That is absolutely right and i would like to add a point to it that we should not look as another country and call it foreign trade instead we should treat as another market since the basic idea is that a firm wants to grow whetehr its a public or a private oragnization and the growth oppurtunity can come from anywhere even from markets of other countries , it is simply generating revenue which is a good thing for the firm as well as it a firm enters another country and does foreign because the domestic markets becomes dull which 1 of many other reasons

why foreign trade is necessary:
1) It is impossible for any country to produce everything that is required for its citizen because of world resource diversity, for example India is bauxite abundant, OPEC is crude oil abundant and so on.
2) Difference is skill set and technological constraint to manufacture everything in house.
Apart from above fundamental reasons, the other underlying and more practical reasons could be:
1) The issue of BoP (Balance of Payment)
2) Look out for markets.

Friends,
Before going deep in to the topic , let us understand what exactly we mean by foreign trade?? foreign trade includes a country's export and import. a country's export depends upon various factor: a) availability of different raw material, b) availability of skilled human capital, c) technological capabilities, d) financial capital and others. so depending on the distribution of these factors, a country exports or imports in particular fields. no country can be self sufficient in each of its requirement. Now let us find out what are the benefits of foreign trade. it helps in : 1. creating a competitive market - foreign trade definitely encourage competitive market across the globe. the door is opened for you and for others also. hence product quality increases and a competitive price for your product is encouraged. 2. global brand image - foreign trade is one of the indicators of the global image of a country. take the case of China. today china is well known for its export to different countries and play an important role in all international issues. 3. technological interaction and development. 4. and sharing of best practices. so foreign trade not only increases the forex reserves of a country it also creates a stronger growth platform .

i agree with u but as we all know the world is full of diversity and the residents of different parts of this earth have different culture, language, feeding habits and different physical standards.the raw material produced in there is exactly suitable for their region wise need. so we don't get a point that india cannot survive without foreign trade. actually it is the inquisitive nature of human beings to get what they actually don't want.we also forget that by foreign trade we actually in india invite foreign rule as english were first traders only to india portugese, france, mughal also included.thus it is actually to violate the communal harmony and create a strike of two different culture.we should be satisfied with what is given to us by god, rather than aiming for what others posses. i would like to conclude that india as a country has the all the necessary requirements fulfilled, it can easily survive without foreign trade.
