there is no doubt that hardwork is only shortcut yo sucess.when you work hard u definately get appropriate result.you just can't expect every to be happens according to yours.
we have some great example likes that of Anil Ambani who inspite of not never had been to college just on sheer hardwork able to build one of the most power company in the world.then we have lsuperstar likes of Shahruk khan who establish himself in the film industrie without any godfather.
so sucess is all about how much you pay effort,hardword.but i would like to add that sometime luck play its part but its that persentage is very less.so rather depending on luck we should embank on hardwork.

i agree with neeraj. eventhough we worked hard 99%, we should have 1% luck. then only we can get absolute success. for eg, Netaji chose a way to get freedom. his way was violence. he worked hard. but he couldnot.. if we have hardwork only, we may get success. but if we are depending only luck, it is not sure that we can get success

I really agree to your point. Sometimes, hardwork (99%) luck(1%) required. Why, you remember recently commenwealth test series india & Australia 1st test match in 2nd innigs zahir khan bowl to symonds stumps out, but zahir overstepped & umpire gave no ball . Every ones zahir one known of the best bowler in world but that time symonds lucks was good he play crucial role in that match.
YOU ASK THAT PERSON SAVE HIS LIFE BEFORE 1MIN. SOMETIMES YOU NEED LUCK.

I am little close to satisfy wid vijay point.But the situation he is talking about is only happens in 1% cases.Most of the time our 99% hardwork works rather than 1% of luck he is talking about.So u have to decide either u go for 99% in which the possibilities is maximum for success or the 1% of luck in which the possibilities is minimum for success.

i agree with neeraj.bcoz now days some of the students are saying that my relatives or my friend is working in that and this company so i can easily get job and then easily i can succeed like that. this is what they are depending on luck.but it is not fare.if they get job also they oose it within some time, if they don't have talent.talent comes only through hardwork.

As said by No.5, He has given the example of Anil Ambani that he never went to college, its not correct as He has got his full education. I think No.5 want to give the eg of Dhiru Bhai Ambani who is his father.
But my views about this is that every body can not be born manager. What is todays demand. Today you go o any company they will ask you about qualification first, than only you will be able to give the interview.
Its OK that hardwork is a step towards success. but luck is also equaly important as every person works hard. Every person try his best to get success but only few succeed.
Dhiru Bhai Ambani is an example towards it.

According to my intension, hard ward involves a great role in our life, but at the point of time luck is also can creates a sudden change in our life.But i sincerely tell that, hard work is a great deal in our life.If you work hard, your luck is also involves in that point of time,if you depend only on luck with out doing hard work, u will never get sucess in your life. So, Work Hard and get good result.

working hard only not enough.lucky man get success in the life. fortuneturns like a wheel.ther for lucky man enjoyed the fruit of is work. without luck no one can win. a farmer work his hard in farm.but he does not get rewarade againts his work.but well luck favour he earns more againts less labour.

Hardwork is the only way through which sucess can be achieved.Also You will experience the true happiness of sucess only when u have worked hard for it. There are examples of many students who come from remote villages where the standard of education is low and they still manage to get through competitive examinations like IIT JEE etc. The word luck or fate doesnt have any sense in ones life.

As per As my knowledge, hard work is very important things in our life,with out hard work u cant do anythings, that meas for your achieveing your goal,but luck is give some chance to grow higher. that meas all do hard work but some people comes higher and achieve their goal.
some example is :Abdul kalam,Ashwariya rai,Amitabh bachchn,shahrukh khan,dhirubhai ambani all are doing hard work and get its higher position.

everybody r havin their owns views but accordin to me hardwork plays an important role in achieving sucess.if a student wrote xams well its only bcoz of working hard.luck....... it will be behind u at somtimes & may not b at all the time but only hardwork we can do at any time

ya i agree but to get success three things r required ie luck labour n chance. where 1st comes chance which again need luck bcz many of dont get a chance u can see that there r many rickshaw puller daily wages worker. dont u think they work but they spent their whole life to meet two ends of day. surely after luck comes hardwork n it is the most important key to success bcz a great person told that success is 99% persipratoion n rest 1% is ur luck n that 1% cmes from ur hard work

i think whatever we acheive in life is all depends how much hard work,tht is effort we are putting on our work,but sometimes people get things in life because of luck too,but the people can succed further in life only if they have a skills and capability to handle the difficult situation in life which come only via a hard word
.so keep doing hard work and belief yourself u will definetly acheive your aim.

luck is when opportunity meets preparation! luck is releted to chance to get the right things at a right time.every one do nt hav this. there may be some exemptions. many poor people want to study , go ahead in future bt they cnt as the do not hav luck 4 that,
talent, hard work, skills are useless unless one hav luck to transfer his/ her dream in reality

ya it is correct that luck plays an important role in our lifes we should work hard then only we can get sucess in our life some people are there who works hard, who have a good qualification but doing nothing simply sitting at home bec they they didnt get a job according to there qualification, if we take a example of MBBS doctors there are some peoples who have a MBBS degree but they are working in a small clinics which doesnt shut s there qualifications. so it shows that it is all depend on luck every person face their good luck or bad luck. so luck also plays an important role like hard work so dont neglet that.

a person get success according to the level of labour.....how much he work he will get..... if he will depend on his luck everything he will lose in his life.....

well according to me one should hav skills,confidence in them and luck to achieve watevr he /she wants..
skills come from hardwork and confidence in urself is thr in u wit the all the hardwrk itself...
and according to me luck matters as well..
if we consider the famous names lik abdul kalam mother teresa amitabh bachan...
then they did hardwork but at the same time lady luck favoured them...
they no doubt got thru their hardwork but if wat one of them had not got the actual oopurunity to show their talent... so according to me...success is a coin tat has two sides hardwork and luck..

There is no doubt that only hard work leads to success. But with that a positive frame of mind and belief in one's capabilities is a must. I believe that doing a certain job and putting in cent percent is in our hands and if one has put his best foot forward than no matter how and whatever hurdles may come he will be able to overcome them and will be successful. As it is well said that God helps those who help themselves. As of the case of Dhirubhai Ambani or Sharukh Khan or any other successful personality they are successful not because their luck favored but they made their luck to help their cause.

I do Agree that success is due to 99% of hardwork where as luck plays 1% of its role. A Success is not a success if it is not 100% so I mean to say that If we dont have luck we may reach 99% of success but if we believe only in luck then we will reach only 1% of success. if we dont work hard we can not step towards success. Luck may be a part of success where are hard work leads to success always.Luck will not favours always where as hard work never fails to get you success.

yes i do agree and appreciate the point that success is 99% hardwork and 1% luck,but this 1% can be added to that 99% depending upon the definition of luck in our dictionary,there is an old saying don't curse your fate and make your destiny and according to this saying definition of LUCK in my dictionary is L stands for labour,U stands for under,C stands for correct and K stands for knowledge ie LUCK means "labour under correct knowledge" and iam sure if one can define luck in this way then this 1% also ultimately depends on hardwork and it become 100%.....

in my opinion ..... it is the hard work and efforts that plays the role...in the success of human being in every aspects of life..Talking about luck...is mostly done by failed and sufferrer.. most of the failed person blame their bad luck for their failure.... but it is the man and his wrong strategies. that are responsible for their failure... it is the man who is the architect of his own destiny....

hi all...... success is a combination of both Hardwork and luck but the mixture will be 99:1..... only when you are able show your potential at 99% and also the situation support for 1%... a combination gives a success at a rate of 100%........ so always try to give your 99%..... this will lead you to the destination!!!!!!! if you deserve it.......

Only Heard Work makes a man perfect. So, there is no point in depending on luck. Luck is not in our hands so we don't need to waste our time only depending on luck. We have to work heard to be perfect and to get ultimate result. We should try to give 100% on those things which is in our reach. AND I think every body knowns that Luck favors only the braves. Most of my friends have told that one should give 99% and remaining 1% is luck. But i beleave We have to give 100% form our front whatever the outcome is or will be. If the luck favors it will be an added advantage and who knows we can be very lucky. Hard work and Luck go side by side. If there is no hard work there is no luck. So, Hard work is everything that we should practice continuously to get the luck and to enjoy the result of that hard work.

As said by many of you, hard work is 99% and luck 1%. Among these two, the factor that we can control is hard work that we put in. No one can change a person's luck. Even after putting maximum efforts if we do not get the desired results, we will atleast have the satisfaction that we have done our job. At the same time if we fully depend upon luck and sit idle, and with poor results we will repend for not working hard. So i would say that WE MUST DO OUR BEST, REST IS LEFT TO LUCK.

every body says hardwork play an important role,But according to my personal experience luck is equally imporatant then hardwork.some times we do hardwork but we don't get the success for example in a competitive exam we do our best in our knowladge but by chance we get unexpacted question then our hard labour is going waste.whether that knowladge is useful for you in future but at that time u became failuar,that's because of ill luck.

I agree for both hardwork and luck, but we can have control in hardwork but not luck, comparing to hardwork luck is itself having least percentage, as all of them is showing some examples of abdul kalam, sharuk khan etc., all these are countable on tips that means, every body needs hard work their is no substitute, simply one cannot wait for luck in his whole life, luck can come any time, if it comes then it will makes to grow faster ultimately hardwork plays important role, their is no need to define examples of role models of luck and hardwork because both sides are exisiting, man should work hard, if luck comes it tastes good, if one depends on luck and going to buy lottery ticket, he needs money and that needs to hard work for earning, after buying ticket if he gets some money he thinks his luck is good and he wont get he thinks his luck is bad, only hardwork leads to sucess and in between luck comes he sucess will reach early.

luck can give sucess to a man one time ,two times but not always, finally he has to do hardwork for maintaining his position.Different celebrities like ambani,kiran bedi,APJ .....today all this are at good positions not because of their luck but due to their hardwork...to be fully dependent on luck makes a person lame ..as we all have heard the saying that luck is shaped by our deeds....

well if you want to be successful, u need both luck and hardwork going your way. one can niether succeed without hardwork nor without luck. suppose a person works his heart out for some prestigeous exam for the whole year, and at the crucial time., he gets infected by some desease, it will all be hard work plus bad luck = failure.
but one should not solely depend upon luck, because that is not in our control,
what one can do is hard work.
if it does not pay one time, it will surely pay next time.
