media may be communicating people. but the topic is regarding politics. coz it influences the voters a lot.many politicians has some major media channel in their hands.few good politicians lack the support of media.they'll b eliminated as they lack the media support inturn they lack the voters support. in a democratic country like india, the elections should be held neutral so that the voters can think well so as to elect the right candidate.

media is a very important medium dat affects the mind setup of ppl directly. bt in the same way nw a days media misguide ppl alot also. instead of showing or telling the truth it shows things for which they are paid for. so it can surely affect the thinking of the ppl in a wrong way n ppl will vote for the non deserving candidates which can make a huge difference in the fate of our nation. so i think all d programmes, articles, telecasting etc everythin should be banned before votes.

it is absoletely right that media effects directly the mind of ppl and it's creativeness makes more effective so ppl watch it and and get convenced with that polititian to whom they nvr seen, and they dont know their role behind the seen ,as per my opinion polititiam means to doing any thing in favour of people in his presence but they escape themelve frm ppl and promote themselve by media.

it is quite good that the media provides us the knowledge abt the elections, but on the other hand it also mis guides us with their special programmes.today media is not people oriented but it is party oriented.so programmes must be passed through a scanner before telecasting.

it is very applicable that the media provides us with the current affairs and entertainment that hold middle class families and give these a sense of pride and recognition about their community, but media completely lies in the hand of the government, in other words the politians, there r a lot of films these dayz portraying the image of the gov. to the audience.... speaking about elections specifically...politicians dont allow buidings to come up with the SRA system because the most number of the voting percentage r from slums...if u take up the example of the dharavi project....rajiv gandhi granted a sum of 150 crores for the development and the rehablitation of slums but it has not yet been followed up....dharavi now not only consists of migrated homes....but also of many small scale industries and even schools...

above comments r quite gud, especially about scanning da news wich i would stand by. coz b4 telecasting every element shud b scanned by a comitee wich can b made out by govt to protect public from media sharks, coz v cant completely avoid media dat too b4 elections.
lest one more thing can be done as special comitee shud b laid by govt n impose n media to telecast oly positive activities of any party. so dat atleast parties wud start doin positive activities b4 elections wich wud benifit public

I think influence of media on voters is a good topic. In my opinion media can influence the voters mind during election period.People have to recognize what is good and bad. They should have to analyze the report seen in media. Now a days all politicians have at least one channel in their hand.If the people see this particular channel their decision may be changed. So I Think gov should have to proper action to ban the interviews and exit- poll reports during election period

media has strong impact on the common masses and it can create awareness but instead of doing its own work media is now a days busy in money making.they have the power to speak against the wrong politician and show the path to the voters that what is good or bad but they are not doing there work honestly...

yes mr.anil i agree with some of your points. media should have a screening committee so that it can telecast positives of a party but before that media should judge whether that party can really do good things to country or not then it can telecast about that party.because many people will be influenced by media.
