hi friends In my opinion yes cricket is too much eclipsing other sports. Especially in India we are in a position where we least bother about all games except cricket. There are so many games rather cricket but still we are pulling towards cricket to see. For example our national game is hockey but most of the people don't have aware on that game even we don't try to know the rules of game where as cricket from child to elder people every body aware on that. It might be not our mistake the way we are followed is the wrong way means how any game become popular it might be through media or mouth publicity. But mostly the lead role goes to media only. Coz media is the only way any game or person can become popular even most of Tv channels telecast cricket as they get most of sponsors and getting much money. There are so many TV channels that telecast cricket but is there any channel that is telecasting our national game. If our national game would have been popularized and publicized then it might be get great response as cricket does. Not only our national game hockey there are so many games which we don't have much aware. so at least if we try to encourage other games for now onwards then future generation may get awareness on other sports too.
