Justice delayed is justice denied

I strongly agree with this statement because :
the intensity of the problem would have gone down when final verdict is given.. those who had committed the crime are being given a chance to hide evidences that are against them and commit further crimes
citizens will not have hope on judiciary systems
The case of 26/11 is an standing example. This gives no meaning to those men who laid down their lives to the save the country when the whole world knows who has committed the crime. Exchange of talks between india and Pakistan has not produced any significant result

here its said by priya that justice is being delayed so if its delayed for the criminals thn its also delayed for the innocent ones...and meanwhile the innocent ones can be relieved from the crime by finding required evidences also the accused can be caught by the same ...so i do agree wid her dat justice delayed is the justice denied....

good but those upon whom a false case has been made . this statement becomes false because they get enough time to prove them innocent.

sorry, i do not go along with you..as in 99% cases, the one who are innocent never get the justice because corruption is so high here, the one who commits the crime buy all the evidences and then again makes a false case and the hearing is still continued... it takes years but the result is nothing.

you are 100% right Priya. if u again consider teh Liberhaan report, its a report of something happened 17 years back, may be some of the prime role players are not alive anymore or are not in the limelight even. and about teh victims, if u consider, may be some families are almost ruined, as they were not even properly compensated. if this report were released within a year or teo of teh happening, it might have helped the victims' family along with punishing the prime role players of the riot.

i think its very true justice delayed is justice denied because if a person gets justice when he no longer needs it then we can say it s justice denied. here is an example, a person has filed a case to become a college principal, he got justice after 20 years. that was the time 9 days less than his retirement age. so clearly we can say he didn't get justice at all. justice is denied for him.

i too think that this is true because there are lakhs of cases still pending but there are cases which have been solved after years,so we can say that justice is not completely denied but yes delayed, its only because working of our judiciary system is very slow.

i believe in you guys but, as i observed that lot of criminal case and other cases appears in society daily which should be processed. It is a tedious job handle all.also if justice is made without listening to both group completely result will be faulty or one sided.thus proper care is made while making a decision which causes a bit delay.even though critical issues must processed quickly because with delay justice looses its strength

mukesh i completely agree to you that it is tedious job and proper justice to be given but the solution is simple increase the efficiency and even if it is delayed a person should not get justice after about 15 years.with this note i remember a case where a girl was raped and she had filed a case but 9 yrs after her death ,her turn came up and to shocking she didnt get justice so according to me justice delayed is not only denied but too difficult

our judicial system is based on facts and proofs,it doesn't consider morals. judicial system that cares only about evidences and facts shouldn’t worry about taming the souls of the plaintiff and the defendant with time rather give justice as quick as it can, this delay/denial of justice leads to increasing "Out of Court settlements" which are cheaper and quicker thereby leading to the loss of trust in our Judicial System.it has been mentioned in article 39-A of the constitution that direct the states to secure equal justice and free legal aid for the citizens.bt the state has been failed in providing this. The justice delivery system is on the verge of collapse with more than 30 million cases clogging the system. In Jessica Lal’s case the situation is even more tragic because justice may never be done. She was shot dead in a Delhi bar in full view of several people. It was on the basis of their statements that the police built their case against Manu Sharma and he, himself, fled the crime scene and remained on the run for days, something he would have been unlikely to do had he been innocent. But, as time went by, witnesses to the murder suddenly became unable to identify him as the killer so he is already out on bail and will probably remain free and go on to a long and successful career as a politician.so we can say that justice delayed is justice denied.

yes it is also right that our justice donot consider the past charachter....i have seen many cases.A man accuses for more than one case but his case is running through the last five year.
The court did not consider the moral values and they canot place the person from their charachter..

ya,I agree with the topic that justice delayed is justice denied. If a person has done nothing and if he has been delayed in giving justice then that is equivalent to punishing him for the crime which he has not done. And such punishment for a innocent person may lead to some tragic condition and sometimes even death. He may even loosehis trust in himself.

above statement is really true. when one person doesn't get justice in the time when he really needs, then after 15 years getting justice will not solve his/her problems. it may happen that he may suffer for really uncertain situations. for instance,in rathor case ruchika hasn't got justice till now. if justice is not given at right time then ofcourse a person may have to suffer a long..

It is very unfortunate for our judicial system that people are not satified very their lazy and corrupted system. As we all know that due to this slow process of judicial system many people do not punish for their crimes.,it is type of cuse on our society. So we want to fast our pocedure

I completely agree with priya justice has been denied because of its delay and lack of performance. These days out court settlements are incline due to the mistrust over judiciary. Moreover that many political cases are being prolonged due to the entrance of politicians and there man & money power. A poor man can hardly reach reach to a court and file petition and get justice. Today one has to feel ashamed to agree that justice has been covered under the hands of money and power.

justice is delayed because the judicial system wants to deny justice. It seems dat the judicial system blivs in money and man power (politics).we have present example of ruchika case,
how Mr.Rathod has used his powers.when "rakshak becomes bakshak " then who will in dis judiciary system.

I agree wid u all but have u any solution ? If dey'll give fast justice dey may accuse an innocent person and if dey'll delay der is no meaning of justice. As young generation have u any idea 2 solve this problem?

Yes of course it should be. If justice delayed it must be denied because in a delayed justice the victim found a chance to hide his crime . Its very good example have been in the "Aarusi" case recently. The CBI gave clean chit to all victim and said that it was a sucide case however they preveasly arrested his father Mr Talwar in this case. So it is clear that it is not totely true justice.

Dear friends. I totally disagree with the sentence. Because its always good to deny justice rather than giving wrong judgements. Even if hundreds of criminals get free life but not doing injustice to innocent ppl is itself a justice.

There are thousands of cases pending in courts. That will require a generation of court to solve. The pending cases must either be deleted. Or they should be solved by employing more number of judges and courts

Priya, first of all I appreciate you, as you have given a good initiation to this topic. I agree with all of my friends who gave their opinions in a very effective manner. It is true that, all the cases belonging to common people will be solved in 15 to 20 years. But, where as, the cases of VIPs will be taken with in a short period of time. This shows the biasness of the courts towards the common people. So, this type of attitude should be changed in our court authorities to make a faster and accurate judgement.

I really agree with all of you, but in my opinion some rules must be passed in order to provide proper justice to innocent people like according to the seriousness of the crime the case should be closed as soon as possible and final decision should be given within allocated time.

i completely agree with this statement .Getting justice after a long time when its charm decreases to 10% has no meaning and yeah probability of getting justice after a very long time is very less.this is the main reason of so many brutal cases in India coz in INDIA one hardly get justice. We shud draw our attention to this side coz jst by eliminating corruption will not make India a better place to live.So its time to raise our voice.

I completely agree with all of the above discussion , since any justice if not given verdict instantly would not be either useful for the accused and not for the citizens of these country. As you have already seen in our bollywood movies if the justice is delayed or denied as in a movie a famous dialogue "Tarrik pe Tarrik" then the accused or their relatives may turn themselves into criminals for taking the revenge themselves and they obviously in future will not trust in justice by government or by courts............
