Don’t get furious with me. If banning is the only way, you create opportunity of rooter sports, its stupid. I suggest create equal opportunity of the sports people and games such a way that the other sports also cherish the fans. Don’t overdo...which we are doing for cricket. Just do it...
Hi Good morning Guys,
My idea is don't Ban. Bcz, Many of the children’s are interested only on cricket. If we banned that game then the 50% of children to loose the sports sprits. If we all thinking, we ban the cricket children may interested in other games. Not like that. Now days may of the aged people also playing cricket. It is a flexible game, in that game age is not a constraint. If u takes athletics and other games aged people can't play. Can play, but limited.
So don't banned, we can encourage other games also and give more sponsorship to other games than cricket.
Hi all,
In my opinion banning of cricket will not give a remedy for this problem. Why cricket makes a detriment to other sports/games it is some thing very interesting than any other games.11 members forms a union and they are playing according to their own strength and their views. It gives the self-confidence not to players, but for all others who all are watching this one.
We cannot ban this in a short span of time because it is very popular in India even in villages also people used to see cricket, and women’s are also interested. We can do only one thing using these cricketers we can make one show or procession for making the people aware of some other games. We cannot avert cricket. It’s my opinion (It is the only game or sport that we in first 5)
In my opinion cricket when it came to our country it was not as much success as it is now. Only after few years later it became famous among the common man. I think the management of any sport has a lot of responsibility in making any sport famous. Since the BCCI took the responsibility of publicizing cricket in the schools, colleges etc. They introduced domestic games like ranji trophy, duleep trophy etc. But on the other hand our national game Hockey has suffered a huge blow now. When we heard of the greats like Dhyan chand the whole world feared India in hockey. But because of the lack of good management, infrastructure today our hockey team is losing in every front. One thing, which the hockey management has done, is the introduction of Premier Hockey League, which is drawing huge crowd towards watching hockey. So these type new steps not only helps the players but also brings lot of public support into it. In Tennis for example with the performance of Sania the Indian tennis has got a huge boost which was there .Now there are more sponsor for it with organizing tournaments like chennai open and Bangalore open etc. So it’s not banning any game but giving support to all games.
I agree with vinvish. Instead of banning the cricket we have to try other ways to improve the support for other sports. Like in the case of tennis by seeing the performance of sania many are inspired and following her path. Sania achieved this due to her determination and dedication and the most important point is support from her parents and school.
So in my view the mind set of parents must not be towards studies only. They should give importance to their children's interests. Provide good facilities for them to excel in sports also. And if possible initiate the schools also to add more facilities to certain games if they get an opportunity to do so.
Obviously if the parents support their children there are many chances for the children to excel in national as well as international tournaments. This also increases the sponsors who organize these tournaments.
I agree with both vinish n keerthi. I don’t think cricket is any way harming the growth of other sports. This is an interesting game and that’s y got so popular. But our government should take some steps to support other games also.
I think there is room for every game. We r needed to take our foot forward and stand for other games. We need to provide situations where kids will start showing their interest towards other games. This cans b done by providing all kinds of facility and infrastructure as that is for cricket. Then automatically other games will stand as popular as cricket.
For improving one thing we need not destroy another. We can do that in a healthy manner. What I mean by this is, we need not ban cricket to improve the condition of other games, and we just need to promote them.
Hey friends I agree with your views.
Lets discuss something on our Cricketers. We love them like anything. They are making huge money every year.
Take an example of few cricketers like Steave Waugh, Wasim Akram, Injimam. & Many more
Steave Waugh We are all know how much he helped poor children by founding UDAYAN charity in INDIA. Wasim akram & Injimam they build few cancer related hospitals for poor people in their countries there are many to say
Kapil, Sachin. Ajahar, like this we pay lot of focus on our cricketers. Indians are really crazy about cricket. They are Hero in people mind.
But here saddest part is we cannot find these big time players helping poor people in India. But these people are busy in Starting their restaurants national wide to make more money
Don they have responsibility to contribute something to develop this nation?
Come on friends Express your views on it.
Cricket shud be banned or not. Cricket as a national obsession is a detriment to other sports.
Ban is not a correct way to improve other sports.
Today some younger are live with big cricket aim’s. If we ban the cricket then some younker’s life are spoiled.
So, to improve other sport’s, government must take necessary action without affecting cricket
Yeah vision ur vision is correct. I agree wid u. Their contribution to the nation is less, But its depends on their respect towards the nation. So as Indians we should admire the whole cricket team bcoz they represent our country as the best by their best performance. This should not exceed the limits by considering them as Heros. What ever it may be their contribution to the nation refers to their personnel area. But our topic here is cricket should be banned or not? Right.
I agree with Keerthi and Vision. Today other sports are not given much preference compared to Cricket. If you ask a teenager which is the national game of INDIA, he/she will answer it is Cricket. The Cricket game has influenced the minds of all Indians.so much that many of them cannot live with out. Few days back we had a discussion that "India is forgetting its Culture “. I think we are encouraging cricket so much that we are forgetting that it is not our game. It is the favorite game of Britishers who ruled us for more than 200 years.they have injected the game in to INDIA, I think following Cricket, we are forgetting our culture. As an Indian we should focus on ancient games such as Kabaddi, Horse races, Kusti, Chess etc. We should encourage our national game Hockey by making it as part of every body’s education.
Let me make it clear that now a days Tennis has got some craze in India because of Sania Mirza But I think it would have been different scenario If it was a " HE “. Only thing I noticed is that the craze for tennis is ONLY because of " SHE “.
Hi,
Banning a sport is not the solution for encouraging other sports, only thing is that every sport should be given preference according to its stature, I would say that Govt should provide aid to those games which are not came into limelight, instead of concentrating on games like cricket, even if govt doesn't care about cricket in providing funds for them, many sponsors are ready to sponsor them, only thing is that govt should take initiative steps to develop less popular games.
Even I want to say that, any particular sport is not popular with any particular gender as our friend "Binny said ,I think it would have been different scenario If it were a " HE " . Only thing I noticed is that the craze for tennis is ONLY because of " SHE (sania mirza) " " .
so I ultimately say that banning of cricket is not the solution for encouraging other sports.
yeah, I agree with all of u, banning of cricket is not at all the solution for diverting interests of youngsters on to other games, they themselves should be inspired of some great players in other fields, just like sania mirza as some of u told...
In my view cricket shows the best example for work done in unity by all the teammembers, this the quality every one should develop, and many more things can be learnt by such games...
so my conclusion is banning is not the solution...
No cricket should not be banned. We can see a good team effort in cricket, which motivates the youngsters a lot. For Indians cricket is like a religion and this increases the union of our country. I can't accept that banning of cricket will redirect the people to concentrate on other games.
